What is the difference between misyar marriage and temporary marriage

Misyar marriage is a legal contract in which a man marries a woman and gives up her right to housing and alimony.

Temporary marriage is when a man marries a woman for a certain period of time in exchange for a certain amount of money

If this period expires, the marriage ends without a divorce and the woman loses the right to housing and alimony.

The spouses do not inherit each other in this marriage, even if the prescribed period of marriage has not expired.

The difference between misyar marriage and temporary marriage is as follows:

Misyar marriages require the presence of the guardian and witnesses, while temporary marriages do not require the presence of witnesses and the guardian.

A man in a misyar marriage may not marry more than four wives, even if all his marriages are in a misyar marriage contract.

During a temporary marriage, a man has the right to marry an unlimited number of wives.

Misyar marriage is a marriage that does not end with divorce and is not determined by a period of time.

Misyar marriage includes inheritance between spouses, divorce and waiting, and the wife may lose her right to housing and maintenance.

As for temporary marriage, it does not include housing, alimony, divorce and waiting.

Misyar marriage ends with divorce, or temporary marriage ends with the expiry of the period specified for non-divorce.

What are the disadvantages of misyar marriage, and it has many flaws and defects, including the
following:

The first: inflicting injustice and abuse on a woman who was unjustly married by a man because of the forfeiture of some of her rights.

This makes her feel cruel, especially if she is denied the right to visit her relatives or if she is denied the opportunity to become a mother.

2- The injustice of the first wife if the man marries another woman in a misyal marriage.

Because he is less interested in her and does not care about her, the woman's medicine is not to accept polygamy, which leads to the spoiling of the marital relationship between them.

3 There are those who marry for pleasure only because of the weakness of their religious conscience.

They do not care about the purposes of legal marriage that Islam has made clear.

4- Lost and scattered children because there is no father in the house to take care of them and raise them properly

Because he is not always with his wife and children.

5 harming the children of the aborted child, especially after she gave up her right.

which could also lose their rights.
